Milton Keynes Consortium is the owner of The Big Moo and was incorporated in 2006 (06014681). Milton Keynes Consortium was set up with a unique mission: to work in partnership with other organisations and agencies to create a Milton Keynes based City Celebration. Fun for Everyone.
The success in 2007 has proved this model as being a popular solution that shows how private sector can lead the way, drive initiatives forward and achieve a social responsibility goal whilst remaining a commercial venture.
The founders of Milton Keynes Consortium are Stewart Bailey and Trevor Marshall.
The Consortium's role will include:
- engaging all interested parties, including both the private and public sectors, to ensure a successful, sustainable celebration for MK.
- appraising proposed events (and their organisers) using a range of selection criteria in order that the most appropriate and cohesive range of events can be supported.
- focusing on a major event to be held each summer in Central Milton Keynes.
- working alongside the media to publicise the calendar of events and to maximise civic pride and PR opportunities for Milton Keynes
- controlling funds raised through sponsorship and income generation, and ensuring surplus funds are either re-invested into further Big Moo.
