The Big Moo was borne out of the idea of having a City Celebration for the Milton Keynes 40th Birthday in 2007.  This celebration became the springboard for individuals and organisations across the City to join together to party in a big way.  It was such a success that we said "the show must go on".

The founders of The Big Moo, Trevor Marshall and Stewart Bailey, are gathering more and more support for their vision of turning The Big Moo into a regional event and our City's Celebration.  With a commitment to grow The Big Moo year on year for at least the next 4 years, although there have been talks of going as far ahead as 2017, Stewart and Trevor  and all of the stakeholders have a common vision of making The Big Moo  something  really special.  Something  that allows everyone from across the city to join in and puts Milton Keynes on the regional map as a great place to live and a  great place to party.  A place of arts, music, culture, world records, sport and celebration.

In 2008 The Big Moo is set to become a Social Enterprise with retained profits reinvested back into the local community and the continuation of the regional event.

The Big Moo is a chance for the whole city to celebrate - and we want everyone to join in. Not just by coming to the party (although it'll be one not to miss!), but by providing their ideas, their organisational or their financial support. We want to make the celebrations to be as spectacular - and as much fun - as possible, and we're inviting everyone to take part in helping us to achieve just that.
